The band have had a great summer, playing at eight outdoor events across Surrey and the South East, and finishing as usual with our most local event – a lovely Saturday afternoon spent at the Hurst Green Fete. We took part in a number of new events including the Brass Band Festival at Borde Hill Garden where we enjoyed not only playing but also sitting and listening to other bands.
The summer has brought us some beautiful weather this year, and we’ve certainly had the sun cream out! We’ve also been heard by even more people than usual, having been featured on BBC Radio Surrey when playing at the Countryside Food Festival at Priory Farm.

Now we turn back inside, and are rehearsing hard for the Scaba Autumn Contest which we will take part in this Sunday. Then it’s on to our Autumn Concert which takes place on Saturday 12th October at 7:30pm at St John’s Church in Hurst Green.
The concert will feature a varied and entertaining programme of music, along with soloists from within the band. Tickets are priced at £7.50 and will be available at the door. Refreshments in the interval are included (we welcome donations for these).
